Fusion technique in sample preparation



During Lab Innovations 2021, AZoNetwork met the Managing Director, Frédéric Davidts of XRF Scientific Ltd. for a brief discussion of the products they were exhibiting and the challenges they had faced over the past 12 months.

XRF Scientific is the world’s leading provider of technologies, laboratory equipment and chemicals related to XRF fusion. XRF technology is used to measure the composition and purity of materials and is mainly applied to industrial quality control and manufacturing process control in industries such as metals and mining, building materials, chemicals and petrochemicals.

What brings you to Lab Innovations today?

This is the 4th time we come to this event. We have always been able to meet very honest prospects. Our products serve a very specialized market and we are generally able to meet people at this event who could benefit from our products and what we do.

What are you exhibiting at the event?

Preparation of XRF scientific fusion samples

Our main activity is the Merger. This machine is designed to merge samples with the flow to prepare the sample to be ready for XRF analysis. It is new and it is a single position machine, very compact and safe. The machine is used to prepare many types of samples using fusion techniques. Our second machine is an accessory. This machine is capable of automatically weighing the fusion stream which is used to prepare the fusion glass disc for XRF analysis.

What have been your main marketing challenges over the past 12 months?

Our main marketing challenge is to meet the right people because our products are very niche. We of course use all available channels to try to reach our target customers including AZoNetwork, which publishes our articles to their refined audiences. The articles help people understand everything about how we can help them, the product and the level of service we provide. These channels help us get a very good number of leads and prospects.

What about the next 12 months?

We think the next 12 months look very encouraging. We have new products to launch that should be very successful and we look forward to introducing them to our customers. It is an exciting time.
