Flowers will bloom in time for National Day of Reflection 2022

Marie Curie encourages the people of Liverpool to prepare for ‘National Day of Reflection 2022’ by planting spring bulbs and seeds during the fall.
This means that the flowers will bloom in time for the day of March 23, 2022, as a sign of hope for a better future.
Individuals, schools and organizations across the country are taking part in the spring planting to show their support for Marie Curie and the National Day of Reflection.
National Day of Reflection is a day to support the millions of people bereaved during the pandemic and to reflect on the lives of family, friends, neighbors and colleagues who have died from Covid or other causes.
The day is a time to pause, reflect and support each other, whether they are convinced or not.
Florist, author and TV presenter Simon Lycett supports Marie Curie’s spring planting appeal.
He said: “I hope everyone, regardless of the size of their outdoor space, and even indoors, will plant a spring bulb for National Day of Reflection and support Marie Curie.
“You can’t beat the feeling that spring-flowering bulbs, like my favorite daffodils, bring after dark winter days.
“When those first shoots wake up and burst into the ground, you feel your mood improve at this sign of new growth and you look forward to the year ahead and what it will bring.
“We’ve all had a difficult year to think about, many of us have been devastated by the death of a loved one, and I can’t think of a better way to reflect on this heartbreak than by simply plant a bulb, giving hope for better times to come. “
