ISLAMABAD: Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) on Saturday strongly denounced the arrest warrants for Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, saying preparations were underway to invade the federation on the orders of the former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
They said the Punjab government wanted to arrest Rana Sanaullah as he was the biggest obstacle to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march plans.
“There is a conspiracy to spread corruption and chaos to divert attention from the corruption of the foreign agent, who played with national security and deceived people,” the information minister said, Marriyum Aurangzeb, in reference to the president of the PTI. She strongly denounced the arrest warrants, saying the warrant was issued because the president of the PTI was afraid of Sanaullah. She said arrest warrants for Rana Sanaullah had been issued in Lahore because Imran Khan was afraid of him. In a tweet, she said the PTI chief was playing with national security and trying to trick people.
Separately, Defense Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif said on Saturday that PMLN leaders were not afraid of Punjab police’s attempt to arrest Home Minister Rana Sanaullah. He said Rana [Sanaullah] had always bravely faced such political witch hunts in the past.
“We are not afraid of the Punjab government. If they want to arrest us, they can do it,” the defense minister said. It was essential to bring everything to light to show the public their true faces, Asif said, adding that in the days to come, the PTI would not be able to find a place to hide.
In his conversation with reporters, while referring to Imran Khan, he said that “institutional neutrality” does “a lot of harm” to a person.
“All of their stories fell flat. Everyone knows why the head of PTI sent the president of Pakistan to the army chief and why they made an offer until March-April. This neutrality hurts a man (Imran Khan). »
Kh Asif said two audios were leaked on Friday and everyone heard the conversation going on in them. The conversation brought the truth before the public. He said Imran Khan was talking about buying and selling parliamentarians in the leaked audio. “Azam Khan says in audio that they will make new cipher from meeting minutes. Now Imran Khan says they have no idea where the cipher went and they are not naming nor the United States,” Asif said. He said Imran Khan could have the audios forensically audited to check if they were fake.
Giving another broadside to Imran Khan, Kh Asif said Khan and his sisters had sold properties and entered into 80 trust deeds.
The military was still waging the war against terrorism and embracing martyrdom, the defense minister said. “The armed forces are still actively defending Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the province did not even have a semblance of government,” Asif added.
Asked about the return of PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif, Asif previously said that Nawaz returned to Pakistan when he was sure to be arrested and this time he will definitely set foot on the soil of the country. because it was his homeland.
The Federal Minister said that before the 2018 elections, Imran Khan promised the people to give one million jobs and five million houses. However, none of these promises were kept by the former prime minister, he added.
The federal minister said the £190m Britain sent belonged to the Pakistani government, but Imran Khan credited it to an individual’s liability account. He regretted that no PTI leader, including its chairman Imran Khan, had ever visited the flood victims.
