London is full of fantastic properties – it’s no secret – but hidden among the city’s terraces and cobbled stables, a few very famous houses can be found among us.
One of them is this amazing four bedroom Kensington townhouse that was painstakingly developed on Channel 4’s Grand Designs in 2011.
The house was designed by couple Ian Hogarth and Claire Farrow who decided to transform their glitzy West London home into something even more spectacular.

The ambitious plan saw the couple add a host of features, including a movie theater, sauna and dance floor.
The couple also underwent a slice of development by expanding the garden into a beautiful social space.
In fact, the couple’s plan was so deliciously bonkers that host Kevin McCloud described it as “a house of entertainment.”
The end result was an architecturally stunning yet minimalist home that ticked all the boxes.
And great news for Londoners with extremely deep pockets, the house is now on sale.
The house, located on Russell Garden Mews, was put on the market for £ 3,850,000.
And according to real estate agents, Modern house, the property is of “rare personality”.

Their ad reads: ‘At the end of Russell Gardens Mews, a traditional cobbled dead end street in Kensington, sits this exuberant four bedroom house by architect Ian Hogarth.
“It spans over 3,120 square feet indoors, with two lower levels of sociable space and a built-in garage, and enjoys a multitude of wonderful interactions with its surroundings, including the private walled garden. .
“It is a family house of rare personality and inimitable pleasure; enhanced all the more by the spa, cinema and underlit dance floor which made it such a memorable item on Grand Designs in 2011. “
